Practice Background and Experience

The Brunton Boobyer Partnership is a firm of Chartered Architects, established in 1953, with a broad range of experience.

The Practice has designed buildings of many types, including primary healthcare facilities, laboratories, bio-medical research facilities, residential developments, offices, educational and industrial buildings.  These have involved new-build, refurbishments, conversions, and extensions, including restoration of historic and listed buildings.

We are experienced with a range of contract procurement methods, such as traditional and design/build. We are also working with Clients within Framework Agreements and informal partnering arrangements.

Our client base includes many private clients and developers, NHS Trusts, Universities, Local Authorities, Government departments and research establishments.

Services

The Practice provides the full range of architectural services from inception and site appraisal through to and including contract administration.

The following additional services can also be provided:

  • Interior design
  • Surveys
  • Expert witness
  • Health & Safety Coordinator

We also provide the services of Planning Supervisor, as defined in the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.

We are able to provide a multi-disciplinary service by assembling teams of consultants, including those of Quantity Surveyor, Services Engineer, and Structural and Civil Engineers, tailored to meet the Client’s needs, depending upon the particular project.

On an increasing number of projects we are also able to provide a full design-build service in conjunction with Contractors.

It is our experience that one of the key factors of the success of a project is Partner involvement and continuity throughout all stages, which we practice on all projects.
